WEEKLY NOTES-WEEK 4
Instructional Design and Technology:
Instructional Design Course Evaluation & Capstone Project, University of Maryland, University College - IDT400x

Week 4 - Identifying weekly activities
--------------------------------------------------------------------
In the previous module, you were introduced to Quality Matters and its certification process of evaluating online instructional design components. This week we will explore another staple in the online course evaluation process; the OLC Quality Scorecard. Similar in use, design, and application as the Quality Matters model, the OLC is a widely adopted and used tool for online course evaluation practice.
Upon completion of this module, you will be able to:
-
Describe the instructional design concepts and standards within the OLC
-
Examine the critical elements within the OLC scorecard
-
Contrast the use of evaluation scorecards and rubrics to measure online learning design

Online Scorecard Submission

Please find my Course Evaluation Card below.
It's good to know the difference between rubric and an evaluation card. For my particular course, I'll be using a rubric as it allows me to measure each assessment requirements in greater depth and will provide more flexibility in the descriptors.
Having said this, I now think the evaluation card I've submitted may be evaluating the course in too
much detail.
Looking forward to your feedback.
Thanks,

Sergio.
