Module 6 Weekly Introduction
Think about some of the learning projects you have participated in – was the development process systemic each time? In this module, you will gain a better understanding of the elements that compose the instructional system development. As you have learned in
this program, instructional design is more relevant to how it’s used and the gaps it is trying to fill.
This module will introduce two similar, yet different contexts in which learning and development processes transpire.
After completing this section, you will have:
-
Outlined learning and development processes of instructional design processes for creating corporate training
-
Identified instructional design processes used in higher education course development
-
Determined your preference of systemic learning and development processes

and thank goodness confirmed what I've been doing for most of my working career!!
I have been a teacher at all levels of education including correctional services and industry instructor for over 32 years and my career decision to be in front of students has been one of the most rewarding and fulfilling that I have made.
I have also worked in hospitality helping with a family restaurant, however, combining education with a lifelong passion for people, the creative arts and technology has maintained my interest at the focused end of developments in these areas.
It's for these reasons that I feel fortunate to be currently working with educators and technology, in finding new ways to deliver creative solutions for delivering a wide range of subject contents.
This is also good reason for completing this course and been involved in further training and refining my understanding of my areas of interest.
Overall, this has been a good exercise to confirm and reflect on past experiences and what I may want to do in the near future.
The very best to all, and hope you're finding what you need!
Cheers.
